Confusion for Criterias Combination

Hi all,

I’m still very confused and want to double-check as a lawyer who recommended it, and some applicants said they did cover 2 criteria in one Document and mentioned Tech Nation even asked back “Does it only cover one criteria”…Is it really OK especially under the New 2025 guidelines? I read it, and I did not see that mentioned.

Document Name for example:
Evidence 1 – Mandatory + First Option 1
Evidence 2 – Mandatory + Second Option 1
Evidence 3 - First Option 2
Evidence 4 - Third Option 1

Since one Document might cover 2 criteria, is it ok to submit the duplicated documents but under different criteria?

@Francisca_Chiedu @hsafra @May @alexnk , I would love it if you could share about this. Thank you!

I usually see people say “same” evidence, but in the end they write them in the different context. For example, the evidence for OC1, which also proof the leadership in MC too.

If it is within the same criteria, I don’t see the need of wasting your space with the same evidence. You can write to refer assessor to read the specific paragraph of another evidence.

I am also confused about “first/second/third, option 1/2”. Would you like to elaborate or provide a better example and context? @F_R_E

I saw how the lawyer put it:

First Option = Optional Criteria 1
But you might have two or more documents for Optional Criteria 1.

So you have
First Option 1
First Option 2

Or if you have any suggestions about how to put it as a document name and if the same document that covering two criterias can be uploaded for different criterias?

It is best to not repeat the same documentary evidence in multiple criteria. The guide clearly states not to do this.

The typical approach is to have 3 documentary evidence for each criteria and then you have one more evidence for one of the 3 criteria (i.e 4 for one criteria ) .

So it will be something like this:

MC1

evidence 1
evidence 2
evidence 3

OC1 - innovation

evidence 4
evidence 5
evidence 6

OC2 - recognition

evidence 7
evidence 8
evidence 9
evidence 10*

*10th evidence could have gone to any of the 3 criteria depending on your story.

Now you should also be strategic in your application , and selection of evidence.
Should you not get endorsed, when it comes to endorsement review (appeal) , you are able to mention that evidence x which you submitted for criteria Y could also count for a second criteria.

What is important to note is that the assessor is looking at your entire application. The assessors sometimes will make this summation themselves. They are humans.
