I’m currently in the UK and about to submit the application for endorsement.
I’ll need to travel outside the UK next month. Will this impact the application process?
Asking because, as far as I understand, when applying for a visa from inside the UK, I can’t travell outside the UK. Not sure if this applied to the endorsement process
Since you’re in the UK the switch to this visa page applies
It says
You must not travel outside of the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man until you get a decision. Your application will be withdrawn if you do.
EDIT: please see @Cheryl_Lu’s more detailed response below - it looks like the website doesn’t distinguish between stages but UKVI in fact do.
I believe Stage 1 is fine, I was travelling last week during my application. The border control did ask if I submitted a new visa application and what type of visa it is but didn’t say anything else. My application is still under assessment but I can see edits after my travelling dates.
As an update I’ve reached out to home office and they confirmed ‘You are able to travel when applying for the stage 1 endorsement as it is not a visa application’.
Hi, can I just ask how you reached out to the Home Office? I have applied for Stage 1 and traveling for a fair bit of time, and might get asked in the border as well. Might be good to have the e-mail on hand just in case. Thank you!
