Why does tech nation take longer days now

Someone has been waiting for 58 days since submission

… Because they have more applications and sadly some of the applications are of low quality. TechNation also contact your recommenders sometimes.

We still saw an endorsement in days some weeks back on the platform. I have my theories to why.

The person waiting for 2 months should email to follow up. You are allowed to do this after 6 weeks - 8 weeks.

@tunde1234 Trust you are okay.

I believe the primary reason is because the process has changed, amongst other reasons. Unlike before, when submissions were made directly on Tech Nation’s platform, which was a leaner process, there is now an additional layer. You send your application via email to the Home Office, and then they forward it to Tech Nation.

Previously it was: Tech Nation (Submission/Assessment) → Home Office (Feedback)

Now it is: Home Office (Application via Email) → Tech Nation (Assessment) → Home Office (Feedback)

While this adds days or even weeks to the overall process pipeline, I also think it has some benefits. We’ve seen situations where the Home Office contacts applicants for changes or updates, which I don’t think was common before.

I would suggest you reach out to them via email, explain that you’ve been waiting for 2 months, and that you’re following up.

All the best, Tunde.
