Hi,
I am applying for the digital technology sector - exceptional talent from commercial/business route. I led the growth of a product-led digital company, and I have relevant documentation for it but both Mandatory criteria and optional criteria (#3) asks for the same evidence, and I worry it will be repetitive. (I have company financials, and news clippings. I also got a letter from my employer confirming I let the launch and growth of specific digital products). Would appreciate if you could provide your invaluable inputs regarding the difference and which proof should go where. Thanks in advance.
OC3: Having led or played a key role in the growth of a product-led digital technology company,
MC: You led the growth of a product-led digital technology company, product or team inside a digital technology company
Hi @natalie You have asked this question before and I gave the answer below:
Hi, the major difference is that MC you are to demonstrate that you have been recognised as (or recognised as having the potential to be) a leading talent in the digital technology sector
while OC3 requires you demonstrate significant technical, commercial or entrepreneurial contributions to the field as a founder, senior executive, board member or employee of a product-led digital technology company. Also, MC is mandatory and must be provided. However, OC3 is optional and you can decide to do OC1 or OC2
And this is the gist, your MC should emphasise recognition and your OC3 should point to contributions as required and stated.
If the answer given did not answer your question, the right thing to do is to seek for clarification or wait for any other person who wants to add to the answer.
The Q and A make up the repository of knowledge and not necessarily only for those who asked them. Countless people come here and read through and don’t necessarily need to ask same questions again.
For where to put what, am not able to do that without details of your evidence to know which speaks more to recognition or contribution.
All the best.
MC is generally very wide and overlaps with a lot of the OCs. I would try not to repeat similar evidences across both criteria as you mentioned, so you can avoid a rejection.
