What does "100 Attendees" mean?

OC2 notes “Conferences must be widely regarded as sector-leading events for your field with at least 100 attendees”

To clarify, the conference, in total, has to have >100 attendees? Or my talk has to have >100 attendees?

Thanks~

Hi @train789

The requirement is that your specific talk must be delivered to an audience of at least 100 professionals at a sector-leading event. Any supporting evidence (such as photos or videos) should clearly show that your session had 100 or more attendees.

All the best.

Focus more on the evidence of you speaking. If you spoke at a conference and clearly just few people attended your session it may not count. However, most people typically show evidence of them speaking on the main stage, letter from the organiser which also confirms number of attendees and why you were asked to speak.

Well said, @Francisca_Chiedu. To add to the point about “100 attendees is focused more o” it’s important that the people shown in videos or photos reflect the calibre expected at a high-level event. You can’t claim to have spoken at a top-tier tech event while the audience appears to be mostly students or entry level participants.

As a matter of fact, recent rejections have highlighted issues like this. Another key metric evaluators may use to judge the event is the calibre of speakers you shared the stage with.

In addition to profile of speakers, Google searches about the event should show it is a well regarded event in your area. If not much information is found about the event then it is not given any serious weight
