UK visa application appointment cost

Hey all,
I have recently been endorsed for exceptional talent. I will post full details soon.
However, I have paid for IHS and visa and all but now that I want to book an appointment in Birmingham, the slots are £143 at least.

Do we have to pay this? Because there are no free slots although it says there are. Has anyone been able to book the free ones?

I managed to get a free one, but they’re few and far between. You’ll have to look for a couple of weeks out at least. But yes, otherwise unfortunately that’s the cost.

Thank you so much. yeah couldn’t find one had to go for the £143 slot.
