Studying while on GTV

Hey friends,

Anyone know if one goes back to university to pursue a degree programme, would they be considred International Student or Home Student if one has a Global Talent Visa (obtained 2025) ?

I am not a lawyer, but you have to ideally at least have an ILR to be considered a “Home Student” by UK universities.

Thanks Akash, yes that is true, however there is also a 3 year residency criteria and wonder if that applies only if you have IRL/Citizenship or also count time on other visa.

I don’t know unfortunately :frowning: . This would be one of the situations where I recommend reaching out to a lawyer instead.
