I am preparing for the endorsement application now. I have a fee questions that I am not sure. Hope to be clarified from the experts here.
- The tech nation guide wrote: “Please note that ‘leading industry experts’ excludes roles listed as unsuitable in the Typical Applicants section of the guidance (for example, managers at Outsourcing or Consultancy firms etc.). Evidence of recognition, such as Reference Letters, provided by an immediate colleague, manager, or friend are not sufficient.”
Can I ask a colleague from my “previous” company to write a reference letter for me? The guide said immediate colleague, manager. I assume the key point is that the person can not work with me NOW. Am I correct?

Does a reference letter must be a whole evidence itself?
I am thinking to put a reference letter in one of my evidence, which occupies 1 page. The other 2 pages will write something else (but related.)
In other words, can the reference letter be part of an evidence not an evidence as a whole. -
One of my evidence is about the product I built in the previous company. In short, the product will generate a PDF file like a consultant report. What is the recommended way to let the reviewer see a sample of this report. Because I saw that “Don’t use google drive link” in the answer from other posts, I am not sure how to show this.
I know screen shot is one method but a complete file seems more convincing. So I am wondering what is the possible solution.
