What do Tech Nation applicants in the business track use to describe their specific skills when they are coming from senior management (e.g. C-level executive)? The web form has the entries below in its dropdown list, but these seem more geared toward individual contributor roles, rather than executive management. For example, what would you put if you were an SVP of Engineering from a major tech company? You could put “software engineer” but in many cases, you might not have done active coding for years and instead become really good at building and managing effective product engineering teams. Similar for a Chief Commercial Officer, SVP of Research, etc.
Any thoughts?

You can demonstrate your position as a team leader and how you enabled the team in various examples of innovation and impact projects you and the team would have undertaken in last 5 years. How did you contribute to your team achieving success as a leader? Have you led any projects that were innovative?
You can also show thought leadership in blogs or publications, any external conferences.
It would also help if you go through the criteria and share an outline of what al evidences you have and lack so experts here can review and give suggestions to strengthen your application.
Got it!! Yes - just choose the Engineering bucket that suits and then within the Application and CV anyway your position will be clear and hence your evidences will align to your position.
You need to choose the overall umbrella here irrespective of level of seniority, a researcher will still fall under Research, A VP Engg will still be in one of the buckets of S/w, H/w, network or System.
