Hi everyone,
I’m preparing to submit my application for the Global Talent Visa (Exceptional Promise - Business/Commercial Route) and would appreciate a final sanity check on my evidence structure. My background is in Product Marketing & Growth within the Fintech sector (Banking & Crypto). What do you guys think?
Profile Summary:
- Role: Product Marketing Manager / Growth Lead
- Key Achievement: Led a cross-border payment product launch generating ~£1.31M (₦2.62bn) in 30 days.
- Strategy: I’ve focused on proving “Product-Led Growth” mechanics rather than general marketing to avoid the “marketing trap.”
Mandatory Criteria (MC) - Leadership:
- Evidence 1 (National Leadership Trajectory): A combined document showing my progression from winning the “Top 25 Digital Marketing Professionals” award (2023) to my recent appointment as the First Female President of ADMARP (2025). Evidence includes the appointment email, award certificate, and press coverage in The Guardian.
- Evidence 2 (Regional Recognition): “Top 35 Under 35” Award (BrandCom). Evidence includes the award letter and press clippings validating my status as a top 0.1% talent in West Africa.
- Evidence 3 (High Earner): Salary evidence showing a 38% pay increase and benchmarking data proving I earn ~1.9x the market average for my role.
Optional Criteria 2 (OC2) - Contribution to the Sector:
-
Evidence 1 (Knowledge Dissemination): Co-founder of The Fintech Africa (independent publication). Evidence shows readership growth to 202,000+ and business registration documents to prove agency and impacts through screenshots and a letter from the founder.
-
Evidence 2 (Structured Mentorship): Technical Mentor for Femme Lead Africa and FCDC. Evidence includes appointment letters and impact reports on upskilling women in tech, images showing me at the physical sessions and the second one is virtual, though, but it’s structured and shown in the evidence added.
-
Evidence 3 (High-Profile Speaking): Featured Speaker at Tech Revolution Africa (1,000+ attendees). Evidence includes photos on stage, the formal invitation letter, and confirmation of a strategic appointment for the next conference.
-
Evidence 4 (Independent Knowledge Dissemination): Co-founder of The Fintech Africa (independent publication). Evidence shows readership growth to 202,000+ and business registration documents to prove personal agency outside of employment.
Optional Criteria 3 (OC3) - Significant Commercial Impact:
- Evidence 1 (Product Scale - Switch): Launching a cross-border payment product. Evidence is an internal performance report verified by the Head of Switch, confirming ₦2.62bn (~£1.31M) transaction value in the first 30 days.
- Evidence 2 (Acquisition Engine - OneBank): “Share the Vibe” referral campaign. Evidence shows 56,000+ verified users acquired in 2 months with a 40% funding rate. Verified by the Head of Growth.
- Evidence 3 (Startup Growth - Zabira): Earlier career evidence showing a pivot for a crypto product that drove 74% user growth in one quarter. Verified by the former CMO.
- Note: I split these into separate files named after the products to clearly demonstrate product ownership within a large bank structure.
Letters of Recommendation:
- Regional Director at Meta / President of ADMARP: Focuses on my industry leadership and my role as a “bridge” between the UK and African digital ecosystems.
- Executive Director at Peerless (Ex-CPO at Sterling Bank): Focuses on validating the hard commercial metrics (₦2.62bn revenue). Note: Since he left the bank, he used his current company letterhead but attached his CV to validate his previous C-level role at the bank.
- CEO of Metaverse Magna (Y-Combinator Alumni): Focuses on my ability to apply “growth engineering” and technical product mechanics in high-growth environments.
@Akash_Joshi @Raphael please what do you think? I am already overwhelmed though and this is my like last edits.
