Request for Review: UK Global Talent (Digital Technology) – Evidence Structure (Exceptional Promise)

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well.

I’m preparing my UK Global Talent endorsement application under the Digital Technology, Exceptional Promise route and would really appreciate a critical review of my proposed evidence structure before I submit.

My background spans digital product development, digital transformation and product leadership across financial services, technology platforms and my own founder venture.

I’ve spent considerable time ensuring my evidence demonstrates recognition within the digital technology sector, product innovation, product ownership, and measurable commercial impact, rather than general business or operational achievements. Before I finalise my application, I’d value feedback from those who have successfully been through the endorsement process.

I intend to apply using:

  • Mandatory Criterion
  • Optional Criterion 1 – Innovation
  • Optional Criterion 3 – Significant technical, commercial or entrepreneurial contribution

Mandatory Documents

  • Personal Statement
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Three recommendation letters from senior technology and business leaders who have directly supervised or collaborated with me on digital products and technology initiatives.

Mandatory Criterion

Evidence 1 – National Recognition for Contributions to Digital Financial Services

Evidence demonstrating external recognition through national professional awards, including independent award confirmation and supporting media coverage.

Evidence 2 – Thought Leadership Through Publications on Digital Transformation

Evidence demonstrating published articles on digital transformation, digital onboarding, system integration and technology-enabled decision-making across recognised media platforms.

Optional Criterion 1 – Innovation

Evidence 3 – Hospitality Decision-Support Platform (Founder & Product Owner)

Evidence demonstrating the design and development of a digital decision-support platform for hospitality businesses, including product strategy, user journeys, recommendation engine, scenario modelling, product refinement based on user feedback and independent industry validation.

Evidence 4 – Digital Onboarding & Enterprise Banking Platform (Large Financial Institution)

Evidence demonstrating my role in identifying a customer onboarding challenge, proposing a digital solution, collaborating with technology teams through implementation, obtaining regulatory approval, and providing independent validation from the Group CTO together with evidence of subsequent adoption and commercial outcomes.

Evidence 5 – Mobile Money & Digital Payments Integration

Evidence demonstrating product implementation, digital payment integration, customer onboarding, operational rollout and independent validation from a senior external stakeholder.

Evidence 6 – Product Validation, User Testing & Live Product Demonstration

Evidence demonstrating independent product validation, user testing, feedback-driven product refinement and a live demonstration of the working platform.

Optional Criterion 3 – Significant Commercial Contribution

Evidence 7 – Commercial Impact of Digital Product Transformation (Large Financial Institution)

Evidence demonstrating measurable business impact following digital product implementation, including executive validation, performance dashboards, internal reporting, industry benchmarking and external media recognition of a significant commercial milestone.

Evidence 8 – Product Ownership & Platform Optimisation (Digital Freelance Marketplace)

Evidence demonstrating product ownership responsibilities, platform optimisation, executive recognition, product prioritisation decisions, user journey improvements and measurable improvements in platform engagement.

I would really appreciate feedback on the following:

  1. Does the evidence appear to be mapped appropriately to the Mandatory Criterion, OC1 and OC3?
  2. Is there any obvious duplication between the evidence packs?
  3. Is there any evidence you would move to a different criterion?
  4. Are there any obvious gaps or weaknesses before submission?

I’m not looking for anyone to predict whether the application will be endorsed. My objective is to ensure that the evidence is appropriately mapped to the assessment criteria and that the overall structure is coherent before I submit.

For context, my application currently contains eight evidence documents, each limited to three A4 pages, in line with the published guidance.

Thank you very much in advance. I genuinely appreciate any constructive feedback from those who have successfully been through the endorsement process.
