Hello all,

I am Data Engineer working in Accenture AI with 8+ years in AI-driven solutions.
I recently applied for the Global Talent Visa under the Exceptional Talent pathway with supporting evidence aligned to MC, OC2, and OC3. Unfortunately, my application was not endorsed, and I received the following feedback from the assessment panel:

Developed digital tools for NGOs (e.g., SHINE’s menstrual health tracker,).

  1. Optional Criteria 2:
    NGO skill-building platform:Mentored 150+ professionals via SkillAct 2021 (data engineering/cloud focus).
SWE (Society of Women Engineers): Member/Mentor and Mentored women in tech leadership.
Woxsen univ letter supporting the mentoring.

  2. Optional Criteria 3
NIH Dashboard: Used by U.S. policymakers to allocate health resources.
Higher Education Dashboard: Adopted by institutions for enrollment strategies.
Provided employment details and internal led product growth migration project of 15 tb data of a bank in the USand other such projects and added metrics screenshots etc.

  3. Reference Letters

I’d love to hear from others who have successfully reapplied or faced similar challenges. Thank you in advance for your support and guidance!

You submitted few evidence l, if your target was to submit 2 evidence for each criteria then it appears some of the evidence you submitted are not so strong.

I will start from OC3, aside the reference letter, what is the second evidence provided, it appears your muddled unrelated evidence of dash board and salary evidence.
For optimal Criteria two what 2 evidence did you provide. What exactly is your evidence for mentorship?
In you appeal mention how the platform you built advanced the sector.

Sorry about the outcome @Sha8118 it’s very tough to fairly comment on a rejection with just a high level brief guideline and without actually seeing the quality and content of the application to validate against the feedback and determine if it’s even worth an appeal.

I reviewed your application details and the assessment panel’s feedback. Consider applying under the Exceptional Promise pathway instead of Exceptional Talent, as the requirements are more aligned with your current achievements. The panel specifically mentioned your work wasn’t deemed “exceptional” enough for the Talent route, but your experience could fit well with Promise. For your reapplication, focus on clearly demonstrating how each piece of evidence advances the digital technology field, not just showing good work.

Your reference letters need significant strengthening. Ask your recommenders to include specific metrics and concrete examples of how your work demonstrates exceptional ability in digital technology. The panel noted your letters showed you in a positive light but lacked concrete evidence of top global talent status. Make sure each evidence document clearly connects to specific criteria requirements and demonstrates measurable impact.

For each project mentioned (like NIH Dashboard or insurance claim processing), include quantifiable outcomes and clear explanations of your personal contribution. The panel specifically mentioned needing evidence of recognition as a leading talent in digital technology within the last 5 years. Provide metrics showing the reach and influence of your speaking engagements and demonstrate how your technical contributions have significantly advanced the field beyond just doing good work.
