Recommendation letter questions: LinkedIn, resume, letterhead

Hi everyone,

I have a few questions about the recommendation letters:

  1. Does Tech Nation have a preference between CV versus LinkedIn profiles? Some of my letter writers only included their LinkedIn profiles but not their CV. I feel like there is a more emphasis around CV in the Tech Nation’s official guide given their statement: “Come with the author’s CV (or other proof of their credentials that the endorsing body will accept)”. Should I push to get their CV or is LinkedIn profile enough?
  2. I am going to have a mix of Docusigned versus ink signed letters. Is this alright? All Docusigned ones will be generated via a single IP address, that is the writer’s.
  3. I want to confirm that 3 pages does not include CVs and log trails for DocuSign?
  4. One or two of my letter writers cannot provide letterheads because their company does not allow it. Is this alright? For context, I have 6 letters.

Thank you!

I have a similar question, following this thread.

  1. Both are fine. No one outside technation can tell you what has a preference amongst the two.
  2. Yes
  3. Unsure. Potentially not?
  4. Yes. Attach relevant external validation to prove that they’re associated with the company. For eg, news articles.

Thank you @Akash_Joshi!!
