Question about VFS appointment timing after submitting Stage 2

Hi everyone,

Although I recently posted another question, the topic of this one is a bit different, so I decided to create a new thread. If this isn’t appropriate, I’m happy to adjust, just let me know, moderators!

Here is my question:

I received my endorsement on April 2.

On June 18, I completed Stage 2 by paying the IHS fee, the immigration application fee, and submitting my application.

Now I’m wondering when I need to go to the VFS center for biometrics.

Since the endorsement is valid for 90 days, should I complete the biometric appointment by July 2?

Or is it okay to go later, since I’ve already submitted the application?

I’ve asked quite a few questions here throughout the process, and I just want to say thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to reply. I really appreciate all the support from this community!

Hi everyone,

I decided to pay the £2 fee and send an inquiry to UKVI directly.

I’m sharing the answers I received here, in case they help others going through the same process:

1. Biometrics Timing – 240 Days

I asked how long I had to submit my biometrics after completing Stage 2.

UKVI replied:

So, once you’ve paid the visa fee, you don’t need to rush into your biometrics appointment—you have up to 240 days.

2. Endorsement Validity – Within 90 Days

I also wanted to confirm how the 90-day validity of the endorsement affects the application.

The response I received was:

This means your endorsement is considered valid as long as you pay the visa fee within 90 days of receiving it.

You don’t need to complete biometrics during those 90 days. Just submit your Stage 2 application and pay the fee.

I hope this helps others who might be confused by the process like I was!

Are you applying from outside the UK or inside?

I’m applying from outside the UK!
