Question about mandatory criteria evidence - exceptional promise

To satisfy the MC under the promise route, can I provide two independent pieces of evidence for “You have held or hold a significant expert role participating on panels, or individually, assessing the work of others in the same field or a field of specialisation related to the digital technology sector.”

The evidence would be:

  • Document 1: Evidence of serving as an industrial supervisor for Master’s thesis students in machine learning at an Oxbridge university. (screenshots of the students thesis showing acknolwedgements + a letter of support from an academic co-supervisor from Oxbridge)
  • Document 2: Evidence of being invited to do peer review at top ML conferences (NeurIPs) and workshops at top ML conferences (e.g. workshops at ICLR). (will show screenshots from OpenReview).

Would this suffice? thank you

THE MC should be stronger. The evidences you have listed is great but you could add additional evidences to make your case stronger.

I feel like Document 1 can also be used for OC2 " recognised for my work outside of my immediate occupation that contributed to the advancement of the sector.

Yes, those documents should satisfy the Mandatory criteria (MC) requirement under the Exceptional Promise route.

For Document 2, alongside evidence from OpenReview, it would strengthen your application to include formal invitations from conference organizers acknowledging your participation as a peer reviewer, if available.

Most importantly, ensure you meet the required total number of evidence for both the Mandatory and Optional criteria.

Best of luck with your application!

Hi @mbk101

Normally applicants submit 3-4 evidences for mandatory, These are strong, however, check if you can add any additional evidences.

Approved.
