Which publication platforms are accepted by Tech Nation?
Please suggest platforms where I can submit my publications that meet their requirements.

Is ADPList acceptable as evidence of mentorship?

There’s no list of acceptable publications. You need to make sure that the place you publish is well regarded enough to be valid evidence, and these change from field to field.

  1. There’s no specific list of orgs which TN considers but they must be published in reputed news houses or tech websites like Venture beat, Smashing etc. By reputed we mean they should have substantial amount of monthly readership… at least beyond 100k/month organic traffic… if that’s not the case, then you should add multiple publications in case monthly readership is low. Publications should also be unpaid in nature (i.e. paid publications or paid PR would not count).

  2. ADP List is not considered valid anymore.

It will vary according to the country you volunteer/mentor at, but it can be any mentoring platform as long as:

  1. Mentoring program has selection criteria mentioned somewhere online (so that only selective people can become mentors… and people can’t simply register to become mentors)
  2. It has a structure and is not ad-hoc style / has irregular sessions (there are fixed sessions + occur regularly + follow fixed curriculum…)
  3. It’s not a one-off mentoring for a single program but rather consistent record of mentoring for several months/years (across multiple mentoring programs preferably)
  4. Should have mentored multiple people or startups and not just a handful + should have some proof to show positive impact of this mentorship on these people/startups
  5. You can look for mentoring at incubators, accelerators, local startup programs, NGOs which promote tech literacy, career advancement programs in your city/country etc. + volunteer there

There isn’t a specific list of publication platforms that Tech Nation explicitly recognizes. However, for your publications to be considered credible evidence, they should ideally appear in reputable news outlets or well-regarded tech websites with a solid readership and industry standing.

As for ADPList, Tech Nation has noted in feedback shared by several applicants that ADPList is not considered a structured mentorship program for endorsement purposes.
