Hi everyone, I’m currently preparing to apply for the UK Global Talent Exceptional Promise - Digital Marketing. (SEO and Content Executive in-house) And I would love to get your feedback on how to structure my application. I am also applying for the endorsement and visa at the same time. I am currently in the UK.
Background - 8 years as a travel agency founder, 4+ years in SEO within an agency and in-house.

OC1 – Leadership & Influence Beyond Main Employment

    Evidence: Community champion role, interviews, metrics, feedback
  3. Fundraising & Women’s Aid Run –
    Evidence: internal blog post, Initiative, participation, leadership
  4. APAC Search Awards Judge –
    Evidence: Email confirmation, judging brief, judging category, website link and Industry judging role

OC2 – Recognition / Significant Contribution to Sector

  1. Audit & Performance Document (Sales Impact) – Measurable commercial results
  2. Media Features – YouTube feature, blog posts, interview,
  3. UK Search Awards Nomination – Team nomination + internal recognition from the head of
  4. Glassdoor Salary Benchmark – Market rate evidence of seniority/value

@Tolubal hope you’re good.

You’re eligible through the business pathway as a performance/sales marketing expert, but you really should be working in a tech company for this route. The travel agency founder story weakens your positioning because non tech agencies and consultancies don’t count as digital-tech businesses.

Also be careful with positioning yourself purely as an SEO expert SEO is just one area of digital marketing and won’t, on its own, position you as a sector expert.

For MC, the ‘SEO Lead Endorsement’ and ‘Analytics Lead Endorsement’ descriptions are too vague. What exactly is the evidence? Endorsements are not evidence by themselves. You need to be clear on what you’re presenting.

OC1 is not about leadership or influence. It’s about showing a track record of innovation as a founder or senior exec in a product‑led digital tech company. The APAC Search Awards judging can work for MC or OC2 depending on the context, can provide more details?

For OC2, audit/performance docs, salary, and award nominations won’t show recognition for contributing to the sector outside your day‑to‑day job.

I would honestly suggest reading through the Tech Nation guide again so you’re clear on what each criterion actually requires.

Regarding my positioning, I’m revising it to SEO and Digital Strategist. I currently work in-house within a legacy UK brand with a digital business and products in insurance and financial services

Recommendation 1 - Analytics lead 30+ experience - was my mentor endorsing me for leading 2 campaigns and generating 20% increase in website traffic, directly influencing sales

Recommendation 2 - SEO lead 15+ years experience - international speaker - endorsing me for leading 7 digital PR campaigns and the impact of my team’s work, resulting in 3 award nominations. work within the team and my mentoring (I’m their direct report),

Recommendation 3 - Ex colleague, 10+ years of experience - international speaker - endorsing me for my work on 3 accounts, leading 20% organic increase and industry recognition as a judge and thought leadership

MC 1 - Evidence of judging 5 industry category award inlcluding invitation, brief and website feature
MC 2 - Evidence of speaking at a high-profile specialist online event- there were 2 guests, myself included, and 2 show hosts. I was invited as a guest and answered a live Q and A session with global attendance of over 100 people, and the YouTube video now has over 5600 views
MC 3 Marketing strategy with a digital PR measurement framework showing maintained share of voice impacting brand mentions and AI citations, with reference from the technical SEO manager

OC 2 - evidence of mentorship, including a reference letter from the mentoring platform founder to support,6 feedback sessions from and LinkedIn feedback from one of my mentees.

OC 3 - Marketing strategy document to support the content strategy creation, a UX and navigation feature recommendation to support accessibility, with reference from the content lead
