Please review Exceptional Promise - DevSecOps 6 years experience

Hi everyone,
I’m preparing my application for the Global Talent Visa under the Exceptional Promise route and would appreciate a quick sense-check from the community on my evidence structure.

Background:
Early-mid career DevSecOps / Platform Engineer working in regulated enterprise environments (banking), with experience in CI/CD platform modernisation and cloud-native container platforms.

Planned evidence structure: CV, Personal Statement

Letters of Recommendation - 3

  • Industry LOR from senior manager (banking / regulated environment)
  • Startup founder LOR from earlier role
  • Academic LOR from university professor

Mandatory Criteria (MC):

  • MC1: Industry recognition (supported by industry LOR)
  • MC2: External recognition – college knowledge-sharing session (guest lecture confirmation)

**Optional Criteria:

  • OC2: Recognition outside employment
    • Elected NUS delegate + national conference attendance as a delegate
  • OC3: Significant technical impact
    • CI/CD and platform migration documentation.

I’m avoiding sensitive internal data (billing, cost dashboards, client identifiers) and focusing on ownership, responsibility, and impact.

I am thinking that my profile having low chances. Kindly review my profile. @pahuja @Akash_Joshi

Hi Sai, apologies but your application summary here isn’t detailed enough at all. There’s no way to tell what the evidence is and what you’re trying to prove here. See some other application summaries people have posted here and try to mimic that in your post please!

Hi @Sai_talent your evidence outline is very weak to meet the GTV benchmark. Please go through the official guidelines thoroughly to understand the kind and depth of evidences required to meet the criterias.

Specifically:
MC: industry LOR is not industry recognition as per guidelines. College knowledge sharing session is also not valid per guidelines.

You need atleast 2 evidences per criteria hence only 1 evidence each in OC2 and OC3 is insufficient. In OC2, attending as a delegate is not considered, you need evidence of keynote speaking or panel in large tech events. OC3 is about showing impact in quantified company metrics. Migration document is insufficient.
