I’m preparing my application for the Global Talent Visa under the Exceptional Promise route and would appreciate a quick sense-check from the community on my evidence structure.
Background:
Early-mid career DevSecOps / Platform Engineer working in regulated enterprise environments (banking), with experience in CI/CD platform modernisation and cloud-native container platforms.
Planned evidence structure: CV, Personal Statement
Letters of Recommendation - 3
- Industry LOR from senior manager (banking / regulated environment)
- Startup founder LOR from earlier role
- Academic LOR from university professor
Mandatory Criteria (MC):
- MC1: Industry recognition (supported by industry LOR)
- MC2: External recognition – college knowledge-sharing session (guest lecture confirmation)
**Optional Criteria:
- OC2: Recognition outside employment
- Elected NUS delegate + national conference attendance as a delegate
- OC3: Significant technical impact
- CI/CD and platform migration documentation.
I’m avoiding sensitive internal data (billing, cost dashboards, client identifiers) and focusing on ownership, responsibility, and impact.
