Optional Criteria 4 Query : At least one significant contribution to the field in the form of a paper published in a top-tier peer-reviewed journal

Hi,

Can we use peer reviewed journal even if it’s not Top tier or Q1? Am an Industry practitioner using the optional criteria as my base company is considered a service company. I have published a paper in Q2 journal and using commercialisation plan and a patent filed as evidence. please advise. Additionally, i have 3 renowned professors who are providing me a letter of support as I bridge the gap between Industry and Academia.

or is it better to apply as innovation in Optional criteria 1?

How to define top tier journal ? In optional criteria for publishing, i have a paper published but am unable to identify if its top tier as its not listed as part of Q1. please assist
