Kindly review my application for Exceptional Talent [Stage1]

Background:

  • 6 years of experience in tech
  • Currently a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for a top Cloud native firm in Africa
  • I worked in company A as a SysOps/ DevOps Engineer for one year
  • I worked in company B (An e-commerce company) as a DevOps Engineer for almost 3 years
  • Now I’ve worked in Company C as a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer for Over 2 years
  • Key achievements include IAC and DR pioneering, developing cloud architectural framework that company B uses till date, company B was in Techstar 22 when I was there and my contribution was part of the reasons. In company C I also contributed to the system and architectural Design and success of a SaaS and Fintech product. I have several publications to my name about my work and some projects I’ve built and presented in events and I’ve done unpaid mentorship in several mentorship initiative program in my home country.

  • From a Head of technological solution in Fintech firm in Africa (Over 20 years experience in digital Tech)
  • From CTO company C ( previously CTO in 2 other big firm and Over 20 years experience in digital tech)
  • From the Co founder and CEO of company B (Over 10 years experience in digital tech )
  1. Mandatory Criteria (MC) Documents:
  • MC Document 1: Evidence of High Salary, a screenshot from Glassdoor showing pay range of senior Devops engineer in my country, my clipping from my contract document showing my base pay, a clipping from BambooHR showing my pay increase overtime and a clipping. from the payment portal showing previous payment. Also a table to compare these salary range with mine after conversion to GBP.
  • MC Document 2: Evidence of 3 different published materials in mainstream media by me, talking about what motivated the write ups, what I aimed to achieve and short takes from the right up, I also included the Publisher name and a URl to the publications
  • MC Document 3: Evidence of leading the growth of Company B which includes a letter from the COO attesting to my impact in the cloud architecture of the company and how it’s been continuously helpful till date and a clip of company approved metrics from 2025 Q3 report showing Financial and operational performance of the comapny.
  • MC Document 4: Evidence of National and International award presented to me as a voice to reckon with in cloud computing sector of the country due to my advocacy for cloud computing adoption and Establishment of in country owned Data Centers through public speaking and media publication
  • MC Document 5: Evidence of public speaking, a letter from the organizers of the event confirming my invitation to speak and the reason why I was invited and clipping of the event flier from the media publications made for the event, showing my name as one of the main speakers
  1. Optional Criteria (OP):
  • OC 2: Evidence of Op-ed and news article that exemplifies thought leadership, these are publications I’ve made about certain technical opinions of mine in the cloud space of the country and learnings from problems I’ve been faced with. I added details of the publications and clipping of the publication on mainstream media and tech blogs and their URL also.

  • OC 2: Evidence of mentorship. This include a letter from the director of a free learning institute for young people looking to begin or transition into roles in Digital Tech, the letter confirms me as a participant in their mentorship initiative program where they pair graduates with a mentor in the industry till they find their footing, this is an unpaid mentorship.

  • OC 3: Evidence of technical contribution and this includes Letter from a principal Engineeer in company C attesting to the technical contribution I’ve made in company C (Fintech project) and how my contributions has aided continuous success in the company

  • OC 3: Evidence of technical contribution and this includes snapshots of Heatmap and contribution metrics of my Gitlab account in company C, showing continuous activity and the number of commits I’ve made on certain repos, I also included short notes to explain what the included repos are for.

  • OC 3: Evidence of technical contribution and this includes a letter from a principal Engineer giving details about the technical contribution I’ve made in company C (SaaS product).

Questions:

  • Company C is a Cloud Native firm that due to the nature of it’s own product (SaaS), strategically partners with other product led company in transitioning from Legacy system to cloud oriented solutions and Engineering, Company C has her own product which is a SaaS, but it grew so well that it recently had to become a stand alone company, the fintech aspect of my work here is part of the strategic partnership of company C with the main Fintech company, but my employment is tied to company C. My first LOR and first technical contribuiton letter are from employees from the fintech company which is a strategic partner of Company C.
    Kindly advise on ideas of how to present this partnership between both companies as a more strategic arrangement so it’s not misjudged as a consultancy arrangement.

  • Second, I see that in evidence volume, CV’s were explicitly separated from the 3 pages limit but docusign summary trail wasn’t mentioned so, for letters of recommendation that are 3 pages, can I include the docusign summary trail alongside those letters just with writers credential or I have to ensure that recommenders don’t write more than 2 pages?
