Is Tesco eligible in “Digital technology sector”?

Hey all,

Before I apply for Stage 1, I’m wondering if working as a software engineer in Tesco makes me eligible to apply for Global Talent Visa.

I’m confused if Tesco is considered a product-led digital technology companies as from my understanding its primary source is from retail sales but ofcourse this is possible because of their own technology hub.

According to Tech Nation, the definition of Digital Technology sector is as follows:

The guide has this:

  1. Technical applicants (i.e. programmers) from non-technical organisations are eligible.

As I understand it (you might want to check it further) this means you can use evidence from Retail companies like Tesco.

Is Tesco your only workplace for the last 5 years? What kind of other evidence do you have?

As a technical applicant work in Tesco should apply.
