ILR application for a family package

I was in GTV and about to apply for ILR. My family has been in the UK for 7 years since I was a PhD student. We will be applying for ILR together. I just wanted to ask if we all use SET(O)? Should we submit 3 separate SET(O) - I mean 3 times separately with our own reference? Or in SET(O), do they already include family members? Thanks.

Hi @Conloc27,

There is an ILR channel on the Alumni Slack with people who have been through exactly this. You may want to take this discussion there as this discourse community is more geared towards people applying for endorsement.

Yes, SET(O) is the right form for you.

Another thing to check … your family’s qualifying period as dependants runs from when they were first granted their GTV dependant visa, not from when they arrived in the UK on your student visa. Those earlier years on a different category may not count. Please check.

Official guidance here: Indefinite leave to remain if you have a business, investor or talent visa: Overview - GOV.UK

You can also find some information on #WelcomeParty document which should be useful. Check the ILR / British Citizenship section in the document linked in #WelcomeParty.

Thanks for the response about the SET(O) form. So each person needs their own set(O) Form.

About the period of dependants. I checked with many people. Five years is okay for student dependants.
