I am currently on a skilled worker visa in UK. My employer has already paid my health surcharge as part of my existing visa. I have the following queries:
a) Do I still need to pay the health surcharge?
b) Will I get a refund later after my payment as my employer has already paid it once and I will be paying twice?
Anyone answered this question before?
You have to pay IHS fee for each visa application that you’re making.
You can get refund for the overlapping periods. It may take a while before you get it. In my own case, I sent a detailed request via an email. I got refunded.
Yes you need to pay the health surcharge. The refund will go to your employer unless you paid and got reimbursed.
