I have doubt with recommendation letter. Help needed!

Hi all,

In Tech nation guidelines, it’s mentioned to attach recommenders CV. My question is do the recommender really need to attach their CV? If yes, should they need to attach in the first page itself or how should they do it? My recommender has provided their LinkedIn profile in the LOR towards the end.

Also, its mentioned in the website that recommender must sign the LOR. So, can they take a printout of the letter and then manually sign it with the pen and use any apps like OKEN scanner to send me the signed letter pdf? Is this the correct process? I have seen people mentioning here to use Docusign and I am not really sure.

Anyone kindly help me in this process! Thank you so much.

Hi @Shalini_D You may find this useful Reference letter signature. Also, if you can do a search on letter of recommendation and CV on the forum there are several post that have covered this.If anything remains unclear, feel free to ask for further clarification.

All the best

Hi @Raphael thank you so much. This helped me a lot.

Also @Raphael can you kindly say me how old the recommendation letter should be? Is it fine to submit the letter signed 6 months ago. How recent the recommendation letter should be? Any thoughts on this, please!

I believe Tech Nation doesn’t impose a strict timeframe, but recommendation letters are best kept recent ideally within the past three months. A letter signed 6 months ago should be fine as long as it still accurately represents your achievements and the recommender’s current role. But I usually suggest at most three months.

Thank you so much @Raphael. Much helpful information.
