How do you quantify intangible results for business route?

Hi,

My question is for the non-technical, commercial applicants for the exceptional talent route. How do you show numerical, tangible proof that you helped a startup grow? I have made significant contributions to the company’s sales growth with my strategic decisions throughout five years but it i,s hard to quantify them. I joined this tech company when they were just a tiny startup and impacted many managerial decisions, but I can’t show it as “I, myself only, launched product X and the revenue has been Y”. How do you provide proof that you helped a tech startup grow? I really appreciate any help you can provide.

You may try to add a snapshot of your email/chat/letter/articles to demonstrate the certain level of your contribution to each project you are claiming. Don’t forget to add those sales growth you mentioned. You should easily see those numbers on some reports if you are involved enough in the project.

I hope this helps @natalie

Thanks. The company’s overall growth is the work of the entire team, so I can’t assume all the revenue is generated by my own efforts. How do I show my help in this company’s growth in quantifiable, tangible results?
Also, I don’t think sharing chat snapshots in 3 A4 letters is enough (since I should be translating them to English from my language too). In my company, we prefer in person meetings and chat screenshots (in my language) wouldn’t be enough.

It is quite difficult to guide further as it really depends on your story. Each person has a different story and different circumstances. Just find a way or evidence to demonstrate your contribution to the company’s achievement. Try to think in the way that TN wants to see, by reading the guideline thoroughly.

You need to get a letter from your employer detailintyour significant contribution to the company, they can quantify it by saying how you contributions took the startup to revenue numbers. They can talk about the pipeline you built, leads generated and the difference you have made to the business.
If you have a dashboard for tracking growth you can use screenshot.
You can also add evidence of high salary.

Thanks! My employer will definitely tell how my contributions helped the company grow its revenue from X to Y! I was unsure of how to quantify the fraction of X which is my contribution but your answer helped me with this problem. I’ll only have them talk about my intangible contributions without numbers.

Get a letter of support from your employers and add your CRM screenshot or even a spreadsheet showing the deals your brought in with the revenues

Can you show evidence of sales growth by comparing what it was before you joined with the revenue the company now earns?

You can also structure your words to highlight that even though it was a joint effort, the increment was largely as a result of the managerial decisions you impacted and this can be backed up by reference letter, salary bonus etc

According to the guideline, you need to show evidence that;
You led the marketing or business development at a product-led digital technology company, demonstrably enabling substantial revenue and/or customer growth or major commercial success, as evidenced by reference letter(s) from leading industry expert(s) describing your work, senior global commercial executives inside the company and/or at company partners/customers, or similar evidence.
