HELP WITH EXCEPTIONAL PROMISE

Hi guys, I am in a bit of a dilemma. Just got told today that my company will not be going forward with skilled worker, and my visa expires Jan 19. I heard about GT and decided to give it a shot.

I am a software developer wit about 2 years experience and currently working for a software company. Just going through the technation’s doc, and seeing what evidence off the top of my head I can provide.

Do I have a good chance of making it?

PERSONAL STATEMENT

CV

LOR – Phil CEO Expd

LOR – Academic Supervisor, Professor at University of Leicester

LOR – Sophia at PARKIt

MANDATORY –

Part of development team for miles for millions app (50+ downloads, £13k+ raised)

Proof – Github commits, letter form ICPCN noting contributions,

News article covering the launch of the app in Milan, and walk test

OC2 – Recongition outside of work

  • Flutter package (though this is a bit recent, i am sort of scared that they might reject it). So basically I am building this simple word game, and in the course of it, I created this package because flutter did not have it at the time. The package got 70+ downloads in 5 days.
  • I am creating this word game app. I don’t know how to prove metrics for it, or if it is a viable proof of exceptional promise. Link https://www.youtube.com/shorts/d7XudOP_izM

OC3

  • Git commits of automated video capture linux system (will add)
  • Thinking of reusing one evidence form mandatory here

Hi @uchyy from your outline it looks like you will have to collect more solid evidences.

  • part of a team success is not considered strong. Your individual contributions and impact that are recognized in the industry is what is required for MC.
  • the flutter package is too early without significant impact. Futuristic apps without real impact are not considered as per guidelines.
  • you cannot reuse evidences across criteria as per guidelines. Every evidence needs to be unique in the whole application.
  • OC3 is about showing impact in quantified company metrics and its third party validation.

Your application lacks basic understanding of guidelines, strong third party verification and no notable recognition or impact.

Hi @uchyy just as @pahuja rightly said whilst you have some promising evidence set, I suggest you work on understanding the Tech Nation requirements more, get more evidence that rightly meet the requirements, then you can reach out again.

You are on the right path…

All the best.
