Now, I know chatgpt and ai isn’t allowed in the application and of course that’ll be the case, but my concern is the letters of recommendation. In one of the three LORs, I think the CEO used chatgpt, and I can’t really ask them to write the whole thing themselves, nor can I write it for them because they’re insisting it’s written this way.
Is there anyone who has actually gotten flagged for using AI so far? Or can it sometimes go under the radar, especially if it’s coming from someone else and not the applicant.
I believe everyone uses AI in different ways. The important thing is to use it responsibly. A good approach is to give the tool clear instructions about what you want it to do. Once it generates a draft, review it, humanize it, and rewrite it in your own voice so it reflects your perspective and style. AI is best used as a guide, a research assistant, or a quick way to fact-check information, not as a replacement for your own thinking and judgment.
