I’m currently preparing my application for the UK Global Talent Visa (Digital Technology route) and would really appreciate feedback on whether I am on the right track and if my evidence is strong enough at this stage.
Background – Founder of Milky Mommas, an early-stage AI-powered maternal health platform focused on improving breastfeeding outcomes and postnatal support outside clinical settings. My work combines real-world maternal health experience with digital product development and community-led validation.
Alongside building the platform, I have supported 100+ mothers through structured programmes and community engagement, and I am actively working towards pilot opportunities within healthcare systems.
I am applying under Exceptional Promise, intending to use OC2 (Innovation) and OC3 (Impact outside work).

Mandatory Criteria (MC): Evidence of Leadership & Potential
Founder & Product Leadership (Milky Mommas)
Documentation of founding and leading the development of an AI-powered maternal health platform. Evidence includes product screenshots, AI functionality, and system design demonstrating early-stage product architecture and user experience.
Media & Public Recognition
Coverage and participation in media platforms (e.g., NTA, Aso media, and some blogs), including speaking engagements and interviews focused on maternal health and innovation. (Supporting evidence includes publication screenshots and platform reach where available.)
Institutional & Speaking Engagements
Evidence of invitations to deliver maternal health sessions within hospital environments (including National Hospital weekly sessions), demonstrating recognition of expertise and practical impact in real-world settings.
Engagement with Innovation Ecosystem (UK)
Interaction with Health Innovation East (UK), including submission review, invitation to an innovation call, and provision of structured toolkits and guidance. This demonstrates early recognition and validation within a UK healthcare innovation ecosystem.
Optional Criteria 2 (OC2): Innovation & Sector Advancement
AI-Powered Maternal Health Platform
Development of an early-stage AI-based breastfeeding and postnatal support system providing real-time guidance, behavioural tracking, and escalation pathways. Evidence includes product design, system logic, and safety framework (non-diagnostic guidance model).
Prototype Development & Early Validation
Working prototype with initial user engagement and community validation. Evidence includes user feedback, engagement data, and practical insights gathered from real-world maternal support interactions.
Product Roadmap & Healthcare Integration Strategy
Documentation of future development plans, including pilot programmes, integration into healthcare systems, and scaling strategy aligned with maternal and community care pathways.
Optional Criteria 3 (OC3): Impact Outside Work
Community Impact & Support Network
Founder of a maternal support initiative providing guidance to 100+ mothers through structured programmes and digital communities. Evidence includes engagement metrics, testimonials, and ongoing support activities.
Hospital-Based Maternal Health Programmes
Delivery of breastfeeding and maternal health education sessions in hospital settings, contributing to improved awareness and support for new mothers.
Workshops, Training & Outreach
Ongoing delivery of maternal health education, workshops, and community outreach initiatives supporting behavioural change and awareness at scale.
