Hello everyone, I’m new here and I need help with checking the documents I have out together. I have gathered all my evidences but I’m unsure if they meet up or all not. Is there anyone willing to help me.
@Sisilizzzy Welcome to our community!
Please feel free to share your evidence and document sets. The experts and knowledgeable members will be happy to review them and offer suggestions.
All the best!
Thank you very much for the response. Below is a brief or my evidence and recommendation letter.
Recommendation letters:
• LOR 1 – Former Chief Product Officer at Sterling Bank (now Executive Director at Peerless SGS). He oversaw my work on OneBank and Switch, including the “Share the Vibe” referral engine (56k users in two months), retention campaigns that recovered ₦194 M and the international remittance GTM for Switch.
• LOR 2 – President of the Association of Digital Marketing Professionals (ADMARP) and Regional Director at Aleph (Meta’s ASP for West Africa). He attests to my election as the first female President of ADMARP and recognises my data‑driven product‑marketing work in fintech.
• LOR 3 – CEO of Metaverse Magna and former Senior VP Marketing at Reliance Health. He supervised me for 18 months and highlights my product‑led experiments, A/B testing and cohort analyses that improved acquisition and retention. He also comments on my subsequent leadership at Sterling Bank and Zabira.
MC
• MC1: Leadership in Product Growth at Sterling Bank – Architected “Share the Vibe” campaign (56k users, 65.5% acquisition) and onboarding (103k users, ₦2.09B deposits), with third-party emails validating impacts. (Current role)

(Optional Criteria – Focused on Beyond-Role and Contributions):
• OC6: Structured Mentorship – FCDC (2025) and Femme Lead Africa, upskilling women in product growth, featured in Guardian/Independent (millions readers).
• OC7: Co-Founder Fintech Africa – Authored 249+ articles educating 202k+ readers on fintech tools, voluntary since 2019, with founder letter.
• OC8: Thought Leadership – Vanguard feature (Sept 2025) on “Human-First Trust Framework” for SeaBaaS migration, with PM email validating 150% adoption/zero downtime.

• OC10: Switch Market Expansion – 53% revenue surge to ₦2.62B through diaspora GTM, validated by supervisor. Head of Growth & Product
Questions:
• I have 10 pieces of evidence; is this too many, or should I consolidate some (e.g., combine mentorship/thought leadership in OC2)?
• For my current employer (Sterling), I don’t have a formal “high performer” letter, or emails praising specific campaigns – will this be an issue for MC1but I have a salary increase email that was due to my performance and I already added it to the salary evidence.
• One letter isn’t DocuSign-signed – is hand-signature ok, or must all be digital?
• For metrics in ₦, should I always include GBP equivalents (e.g., ₦2.62B ~£1.6M)?
• What are your thoughts on the overall structure? Is there anything I can add (e.g., more international ties) or adjust to improve chances?
Finally, what are your thoughts on the overall structure of my evidence? Is there anything else I should add or adjust to give myself the best chance of success?
@Akash_Joshi please help too

For your mandatory criteria, the combination of product growth leadership and salary works well since both align with the official guidance examples. The awards (Top 35 Under 35, ADMARP Top 25, APMP Top 20) add good recognition but consider combining them into one evidence document since they tell a similar story. For the “third-party validation” concern at Sterling Bank, the salary increase email showing performance recognition can work but make sure it’s supplementary evidence placed after your main impact narrative.
For your optional criteria, the mentorship evidence (FCDC, Femme Lead Africa) needs to show it was part of a structured programme with selection criteria. In applications I’ve reviewed, mentorship rejections often happen because assessors couldn’t see the programme’s credibility or the applicant’s recognition beyond just participating. The Fintech Africa co-founder work (249+ articles, 202k readers) is strong for OC2 if you can show external recognition for it. For your questions: hand signatures are fine, always include GBP equivalents for Nigerian Naira figures, and yes consider consolidating your OCs to avoid repetition.
Your profile shows genuine impact and recognition in Nigerian fintech which is exactly what the committee wants to see. Focus on making each evidence document self-contained with your personal contribution clearly stated upfront. With some consolidation and stronger third-party validation, you have a solid chance of success.
Thank you very much @Akash_Joshi for this great feedback. Really appreciate it. Will work on them. Thank you!!!
@Sisilizzzy May I suggest that you list each piece of evidence under its appropriate criterion. Doing so will ensure that you submit the right evidence to the right criterion.
There is no criteria such as OC6–OC10.
With your current listing, you may be at risk of submitting the wrong set of evidence, or evidence that does not rightly meet the criteria, or in the worst case, submitting evidence for all the criteria (OC1, OC2, OC3, and OC4.)
Tech Nation expects applicants to submit at least two unique pieces of evidence under the Mandatory Criteria (MC) and two Optional Criteria.
Therefore, you should retain your MC evidence as you already have it, and then select two from OC1, OC2, OC3, or OC4, then distribute your listed evidence into them rightly, and that will help the experts here review vis-a-vis the listed criteria. This is important because even Tech Nation assesses evidence based on the chosen criteria and not independently.
All the best.
Oh thank you very much for this!
What the
OC3 is Optional Criteria 3
OC2 is optional Criteria 2
You know we have 4 options so my evidences are from
Optional 2&3
But I will remain it…do you think I name it
OC3
OC2
Yes! As popularly represented.
And I strongly suggest you outline them under their respective criteria and also in your document naming before submitting. You want to say something like:
Optional Criteria 3 (Evidence 1)
Optional Criteria 3 (Evidence 2)
