I have a question regarding Letters of Recommendation for the Global Talent Visa.
My current manager was granted GTV in 2020 and is now a UK citizen. He is willing to provide me with a Letter of Recommendation, but we’re unsure whether a former GTV holder (now a citizen) is eligible to act as a recommender.
Has anyone faced a similar situation or can confirm if this is acceptable?
Yes! A Tech Nation alum can definitely write a recommendation for you. The key is that he should be recognized experts in the digital technology field and know your work well, ideally having worked with you closely for at least 12 months. However, letters from immediate colleagues, managers, or friends may appear biased.
Thanks for your response @Raphael, it would be more helpful. As I mentioned he is my current manager who is working with me for more than two years, thanks.
He can provide a recommendation if he is a recognised leader in the field. However, if the letter states he is your current manager then it may not be accepted
