Can they all be different, or do they have to be the same?
Say I have 3/4 things I plan to do in the UK in the future. Should each letter highlight one, two, or all of them?

Because you worked with these individuals in different capacities, projects, and environments, there will naturally be some variation in what they write, and the letters should not be similar. Each letter should reflect your future plans as they relate to the specific work you did with that particular person.
For instance, if you worked with an expert to develop and deploy a product, that person can explain how, based on his/her knowledge of you and your work, you would be able to develop and deploy similar solutions in the UK.
Thanks a lot. One more question, the guidelines require that each referee’s CV be submitted along with their letter. However, it may be difficult to obtain updated CVs from some of them due to their busy schedules, and a few may not even have an up-to-date CV. Would it be acceptable to download their LinkedIn profiles and submit those instead? Will TN accept that?
And how do I put their CV and letter together in one document, I think.
My apologies for asking too much
Oh there! It’s a privilege to be of help.
Yes! You are right. Most people who are not currently searching for jobs may not have an updated CV but most career people should have an updated LinkedIn profile, at least reflecting their current place of work or positions. So go ahead and export their CVs from LinkedIn, that’s what I usually recommend to applicants I guide and support.
Also you can do the merging of documents and CV on canva or iLovePDF
All the best
Thanks, this is very helpful.
Will the merging of their CV with their letter not raise an issue with the 3-page limit?
I’ve read from others that using a LinkedIn CV doesn’t count toward the 3-page limit.
However, my recommenders have some informal descriptions in their LinkedIn experience sections, and I am going to be using linkedin CV for all three profiles, but they use the same layout (as linkedin use the same template for CV), wouldn’t that count as duplicate? I’m unsure whether I should edit their CVs myself before attaching them.
@aso same template of CV is fine but same template of letter itself is not.
Just as @pahuja as rightly said “same template of CV is fine” however if and only if, it’s exported from a platform like LinkedIn. LinkedIn uses a standardized export layout, which is perfectly acceptable. Since your three recommenders have different career trajectories, the content of their CVs will naturally be different even though the format looks similar. This should not be an issue or considered duplication.
Also, editing other people’s documents is not accepted nor encouraged, so I would advise against making any changes to your recommenders’ CVs yourself. Instead, I suggest reaching out to them respectfully to discuss whether they would be open to updating any informal descriptions on their profiles.
You can had link to their linkedin profile
Very helpful, thank you @pahuja @Raphael @Francisca_Chiedu
