Feedback Request - Exceptional Promise Route | Digital Technology

Hello everyone,

I am preparing my UK Global Talent Visa application under the Exceptional Promise route for Digital Technology. My profile is focused on AI cybersecurity, network automation, open-source contribution, data-centre infrastructure, and published digital technology research

I would appreciate honest feedback on whether my evidence mapping is strong enough and whether any evidence looks weak, duplicated, or better placed under another criterion.

Proposed Evidence Structure

Mandatory Criterion - Recognition as a Potential Leader

MC01 - Public Recognition as a Top 10 Global Contributor to the NetBox Device Type Library
Evidence includes GitHub Top 10 contributor ranking, 30+ merged pull requests, maintainer approvals, and repository adoption/stars/forks. Contributions were voluntary and focused on network automation and infrastructure management.

MC02 - Public Recognition for Sentry-AI: Open-Source Explainable AI Cybersecurity System
Evidence includes The Nation newspaper technology feature, GitHub repositories, MIT licence, technical README, ICAIC 2025 conference programme, proceedings publication email, and DOI-backed conference paper for Sentry-AI.

Optional Criterion 2 - Contribution Beyond Normal Employment

OC2-A - Invited Speaker at Final International University Career Day 2026
Evidence includes university speaker announcement, event poster, talk title, appreciation certificate, and event photographs. Topic covered AI, cybersecurity, network resilience, and secure digital infrastructure.

OC2-B - Volunteer Mentor for PMI Group Mentorship Pilot
Evidence includes PMI Certificate of Appreciation, PMI volunteer recognition email, official PMI PDU transcript showing 12 approved volunteer PDUs, and LinkedIn evidence. Contribution focused on peer mentoring, project delivery, Agile/PMP readiness, and AI-enabled project management workflows.

Optional Criterion 4 - Published / Publicly Listed Research Contribution

OC4-A - Peer-Reviewed AI Cybersecurity Research Published by Elsevier/ScienceDirect
Evidence includes AIoT’23 conference programme, conference presentation photo, Elsevier/ScienceDirect publication page, DOI, and ResearchGate listing for the chapter “Cybersecurity Using Artificial Intelligence.”

OC4-B - Recent Digital Technology Research Portfolio
Evidence includes additional recent work in AI cybersecurity, deepfake detection, digital forensics, IoT smart irrigation, and e-learning technologies. Sources include IEEE, JOSI DOI page, Springer DOI page, ResearchGate, and Google Scholar.

Backup Evidence

Evidence 7 - Critical Data Centre Infrastructure Contribution at Rack Centre
Evidence includes DCD Global Operations Team of the Year award, Vanguard press coverage, Rack Centre official post, and HR letter confirming my role as Data Centre Engineer. I am treating this as backup because the main award is from 2019 and team-based.

Questions for the community

  1. Is this structure strong enough for the Exceptional Promise route?
  2. Are MC01 and MC02 strong enough for the Mandatory Criterion?
  3. Is OC2 a good choice using FIU speaking + PMI mentorship, or should I avoid PMI because it is more project-management focused?
  4. Is OC4 strong enough with Elsevier/ScienceDirect + recent research portfolio?
  5. Should I include the Rack Centre evidence as backup, or leave it out because it is older and team-based?
  6. Do you see any risk of evidence overlap, especially around Sentry-AI?

I would really appreciate strict feedback before submission. I want to avoid submitting weak or poorly mapped evidence.

Thank you.
