Exceptional Promise vs Talent — Please review my case and overall profile (Business Applicant)

Hi all, I’m preparing a Tech Nation application and would appreciate honest feedback from the admins

Background :

  • SEO & organic Growth since 2019
  • Product-led companies: (2019–2020) and (fintech, Sept 2022–present)
  • Media-led role in between (2021–2022), but still SEO and Organic Growth
  • Strongest product-led impact and recognition from 2022 onward, with most speaking/judging accelerating in 2025

Key questions:

  1. How did you decide between Exceptional Promise vs Talent when your strongest recognition was recent?

  2. My career has spanned from 2019 till date, but my product-led impact started in 2022 (not counting 2019, as this was my formative years in the industry)

  3. Is having the most measurable impact at one product-led company a concern in practice?

  4. Any advice on framing SEO / organic growth clearly as digital technology rather than “just marketing”?

  5. If I go for exceptional promise, won’t I be considered as ‘no longer early career stage’ ?

Also, kindly help me review my evidence outline and advice on how to structure better

GTV Application Plan

Main Narrative: Organic Growth Leader designing scalable acquisition systems for fintech with peer recognition and measurable commercial impact.

Hi, everyone. I am gently resurfacing this in case it got buried. I’d really appreciate any feedback and guidance from the mentors here on Exceptional Promise vs Talent and overall evidence framing. Your feedback would mean a lot. Thank you.

You have too many 2025 evidence… These doesn’t show a track record.

@Francisca_Chiedu She does have other years, too. I see 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 and good track record. For Promise, are applicants expected to have perfectly spread out activities across years? Some years might have more, some less. It could depend on availability and opportunity. Would that be an issue, like many evidence from Oct to Dec 2025 as it’s only 1 and 4 months old? What do you recommend doing in such a case?

If the applicants have evidence spread across other years then it is fine. What you don’t want is an application looking like it was built just to apply for tech Nation. This is why recent evidence are treated with a pinch of salt.
