I am currently collating evidence for Exceptional Promise (because I feel like I may not have enough evidence for Exceptional Talent). I have 6 years experience in Software Development (4 years in a product led company: fintech and traditional banking).
These are mainly evidences I have collated which excluded personal statement and the mandatory recommendation letters.
Here are the evidences I have so far:
MC:
- TV Talk on a nationally recognised station where I talked about “Getting into Tech for Young Nigerians”. I have the following handy to support MC1
- Screenshot of the Post Event Email from the Editor in Chief
- Engagement from people reaching out to me on LinkedIn after the event (asking me for guidance and some to commend me)
- LinkedIn engagements of when I posted about it before the actual event
- Flyer of the event( with my picture on it as the only guest speaker)
- Comments from the Youtube Video
- Youtube Link (Views are is close to 10k so far)
- Screenshot of me during the live show with the station logo and the presenters all in a single frame
- My article publication on a nationally recognised media outlet where i wrote on “Scaling Applications with .NET Core, a Guide to building high performance backend systems”. I have the following to support MC2
- A screenshot of the article with my Byline
- The Link to the article
- LinkedIn engagement of when I posted about the article
The blog does not show views/visit so I cant really provide the impact stats but the media outlet is recognised with over 5M readership.
OC2(Impact outside Job): I am a bit confused on this, I have the following but I am unsure they are strong enough
- Another publication on Daily Times (A nationally recognised outlet) where I wrote on " Beyond Technical Skills: Why Soft Skills Matter in the Tech Industry". Screenshot (This has been seen/read by 700 people so far), authorship (showing my Name in the ByLine)
- I have an open source project in the early stage now with 10 contributors so far (This is not a developer tool project, Its a solution that is aimed to support small businesses)
- An upcoming tech panel (physical), gotten invitation for October 2025.
OC3 (Technical Contribution): These are my personal Contributions to a product line I worked on (I was the lead backend developer on the project) in my former company
- Screenshots of Architectural Diagram, Git commits (Its a private repository but I managed to capture some of my commits), BRD (Business Requirement Document), Screenshot of internal document on projection of the product.
- A reference letter from the senior product owner referencing how my contributions helped the product to the stage it is, Highlighting specific keys contributions and the impact of it
Kindly do assist to review on If these are sufficient or how I can further support what I currently have.
NB: I intend to submit my application towards the end of the year
