About 90% of my supporting documents are not in English. Of course I will have them officially translated into English, but I am still concerned that the assessors might perceive my evidence as less compelling or less credible because it was originally in another language. Any insights or comments on that please?
It doesn’t make your application less compelling at all. Tech Nation assessors review evidence from all over the world. As long as you provide clear, certified translations, the original language won’t count against you. What matters most is the strength, clarity, and relevance of the evidence itself.
To put your mind at ease, I recently guided someone whose documents were almost entirely in French, and the application was successful. Just make sure you follow the formatting rules, translations do not count towards the 3 page limit for each evidence document, but the original untranslated document must not exceed 3 pages.
