Does "submitting" Stage 2 application happen at the biometric appointment or somewhere online?

Hello!
I recently created my Stage 2 application + paid the IHS fee + paid the Stage 2 visa fee + scheduled a VFS biometrics appointment for Sep 30th.

After paying the IHS fee, I received an email saying that I must "pay the application fee & submit your application:

However, when I go back to the gov.uk portal, there’s no place / button to explicitly “submit” the Stage 2 application:

I have 2 questions:

1. Does “submitting” the application during Stage 2 simply mean showing up for biometrics appointment with the required docs? Or do we need to “submit” something online?

2. Required docs are only: passport + endorsement email + TB test - so during biometrics, how do they know what IHS number I had? Or whether I have paid the visa fee or not? Do we not need to upload them anywhere?

Thanks for your help!

Requesting @Francisca_Chiedu @May @pahuja @alexnk for their help. Very much appreciate your help!

Hi @cosmic.wilderness,

Your IHS payment reference is already linked to your application UAN number. Depending on the biometric appointment center (typically a VFS center in most countries), you may have the option to upload the required documents digitally or bring them with you to the center for verification and then have your biometrics recorded.

PS : You need take your passport anyway.

If you’ve received a link from the appointment center to upload documents, follow the instructions provided. Otherwise, ensure that you bring all the documents listed in the checklist to your appointment no matter what.
