Does reference letters need to be signed?

Are the reference letters gotten from past employers need to be signed even if they contain every other information about them like their email, phone number and maybe CV? Also some of them prefer to give me a link to their LinkedIn profile as oppose to their CV, does this work?

It’s advisable to have them signed.

If they give you their LinkedIn, you can simply download their LinkedIn profile and use that as a CV.

Please are you 100% certain? The person already signed the letter. So I am thinking of adding his resume using a tool like Camscanner to join the signed letter and his resume together.
