Do I need to return the old BRP?

Hi all community members

Yesterday, I received my new BRP for the Global Talent visa. Very happy! :hugs:

My question is as I was previously on the Skilled worker visa, do I still need to return the old BRP to the Home Office BRP Returns address in Bristol?

As per the Home Office successful BRP issuance email, I need to dispose off securely the old BRP. (Please see the email screenshot).

It make sense not to return as the new e-visa system is in place.
However, previously people use to return the old BRP (I did once). So double checking whether I should return or not.

Thanks for your considerations. :raised_hands:

The email clearly states what you should do.

I know I am repeating the question, sorry for that
This means only I should only destroy it whithout sending it to through post office, right?

## If you have a BRP from a previous grant ofpermission

If you already hold a BRP from a previous grant of permission, or you were issued with a replacement, it is no longer valid. Yous hould dispose of it securely once you have created your UKVI account.
