True We need to call Customer care and raise a ticket for a Refund.
I had applied for 5 years and had the same excess charge for my wife and children while applying. The excess however was refunded automatically when the Visa was issued recently. So the reimbursement now seems to happen automatically if an excess surcharge has been collected.
