Hello, I am on the innovator founder visa route which is also a three-year ILR route. My visa is till March 2027 as I was granted innovator visa in March '24. I have received my endorsement as an exceptional talent last week and I’ll apply to change my visa category soon. My question is can my dependents stay on on the current visa till March 2027? Do I need to change their visa category from innovator dependent to global talent dependent as both are dependent visa? In any way, I will have to apply for the rest 2 years for them in March 2027. Please suggest.
You need to speak to an immigration lawyer for clarification. From gov.uk they can be on current visa and switch later, hower theres no advantage as visa extension for dependent is minimum of 3 years. They can’t extend by 2 years.
