Definition of 'High Earner'

Hi everyone - Applying for exceptional promise. I see often throughout the forum people providing the exampled evidence of earning a high salary.

I understand the standard approach to this is a glassdoor benchmarking on position title.

However, as my experience is tied to the bootstrapped startup I’ve been building, my title of “Managing Director” is a bit inflated. Moreover, I earn a base salary + monthly profit, with the base salary not being much, but the monthly profit placing me in the top 10% of earners in Germany in general, but not the say ~Top % of MDs out there.

Any thoughts on if this suffices? At the moment I’ve drafted a doc that contains:

  • screenshot of base salary, title
  • screenshot of equity held
  • last payslip translated, showing proof of 5% profit earned and to give a ballpark on what I earn in a year
  • screenshot of article citing German Institute of Economy’s study benchmarking me as nearly double the threshold of a top 10% earner in Germany.

I’m just wondering if I should omit this piece of evidence as a whole if its not strong enough?

you can add it as an additional evidence to the main mandatory evidence. Salary is relative, so I won’t add so much weight to it.

While a High salary can be a positive factor in your application, it is not a primary requirement for the endorsement. You may choose to include it as part of your supporting evidence while presenting other strong aspects of your career to meet the Mandatory criteria.
