Can one directly apply for ILR after 3 years on GT (Talent) visa?

I’m a little confused about the 3-year guideline.

After 3 years in the UK on a Talent visa, do I need to extend it at least for a year before applying for ILR, or can we apply for ILR before the 3-year term ends?

If there is any official link you could provide, that would be super helpful.

If you have been endorsed under Global Talent - Talent root, not Global Talent - Promise, then you can apply for ILR after 3 years.

However you will still have to wait for 5 years in the UK to be qualified for citizenship.
