Assist on Exceptional Promise (Front-end)

Hello, I want you to assist me with my husband’s application (For the ease of the reading I will talk by his name) for Exceptional Promise as an Experienced front-end developer.

I have more than 8 years of experience working as a front-end developer but 6 years of them were in agencies so I will apply as Exceptional Promise and only consider the two years of experience I have with product lead companies. I am currently also studying part-time online. So I have a full-time job, part-time job and part-time study.

Company A: Startup that helps people match clients with designers using AI, it provides them with a service using their product. (For as a part-time developer over the past 8 years). This startup is registered outside the UK and I live in the UK so I contribute to the economy of the UK.

Company B: Multinational company that is registered on Wall Street, I am working on a fintech project that has 3.5$ trillion on AUM. Worked with them for one year. In the UK.

Company C: My wife’s startup we both work together on it. I am responsible for the whole website and my wife is working on the mobile application. The startup is registered on the company’s house with no profits yet. But she has a startup visa and her idea was innovative and the home office approved it. With more than 5 endorsement bodies wanted to endorse her idea.

LOR:

  1. The founder of a startup A who I worked with as a part-time front-end developer for more than 8 years.

  2. My Line manager in company B. He has more than 20 years of experience.

  3. The product owner in company B. He has more than 20 years of experience.

MC

Proof 1,2) My salary with company B is more than the average salary of 20K and a 15% bonus.

Proof 3) My work on my wife’s startup C, I have GitHub commits from the past couple of years.

Proof 4) My wife’s startup C with an endorsement letter and accepting the project to endorse emails. (Which is a proof of innovation)

OC1:
Company B: I am currently solely responsible for the whole retheming of the projects. I am also part of the teams in which we will rebuild the whole project using RectJS. I also worked on fixing several issues on the project and creating a process that automatically deploys the project and saves the company many work hours and manual work.

Proof 5 ) Prove of innovation an article on AWS about a case study on the project I am working on.

Proof 6) An article from 2 years ago about the business profits.

Proof 7) My Github commits and participation in the projects.

OC3:
Company A: We are currently rebuilding the whole platform to use NextJS, I am working as frontend lead in which I manage 2 front-end developers and also work myself on the project.

Proof 8) My GitHub commits with my name on it.

Proof 9) Reference of the project manager in company A.

Proof 10) My contract Deals with my salary above average in the UK and Turkey where I used to live a year and a half ago.

Question:

  • Should I mention my agency work? If not should I put it on the CV?

  • My wife’s startup registers everything with her name but I have worked with her along the way, Should I mention she is my wife? We don’t have the same last name, is this a weakness?

  • Are my proofs well structured

  • MC is weak. You cannot have 2 documents with salary evidence: it is a weak strategy. The 4th proof here is not valid: how does it fit into any examples of evidences under MC?

  • OC1 is about product or digital innovation showcasing what was innovative about what you did and how you did it. There’s no such thing as innovation of an article: what does this mean? How do your evidences prove you have led product innovation?

  • OC3 is about showing impact. You have again used Github commits and salary evidence here. How does any of this show quantified impact?

I would recommend you read the TN guidelines thoroughly to see what exactly is TN looking for in each criteria as evidence and then assess how your evidences meet these criterias. Tech Nation Visa Guide - Tech Nation

As of now, it doesn’t look like you are meeting any criteria strongly.

I think you still have some work to do. Also your husband does not qualify for exceptional promise has he has been working as a technical talent foe over 5 years

For MC I was using the two proof one for the salary contract and the other for linking to the average salary in the UK. Or are they both equally to one. I can also use a reference letter. I have built the whole website wordpress and have created a react dashboard which I can provide the commits.

Yes, I was first proving proof of the innovation of the product or isn’t not necessary? I have come up with the solution to solve the front end problems that this product has, I have built a proof of concept and it have been accepted by the CEO , and now they are using my solution to rebuild the front end of the whole prioduct. I can also have another reference letter from someone else in company B

I have rebuilt the whole interface twice and this is the third time I have built it, I didn’t know how to show impact as I was the sole responsible for the whole website which was Wordpress at the time I can have screenshots of Figma and dashboard, now we are rebuilding the website using NestJs and I have commits screenshots and also a reference from the project manger,

Does this look better?

As my understanding exceptional promise is for less than 5 years and exceptional talent is for more than 5 years, am I missing something here?
