I’m working hard on my Global Talent Visa application and have a question that’s been on my mind. While preparing my documents, I try to think from the perspective of the Tech Nation officials, but I have no idea about their areas of expertise or technical background. This makes it hard to decide how much technical detail to include. Should I focus more on the technical aspects of the products? Does sharing their potential and future plans make sense for them? Do they consider the entire application as a whole? If anyone has thoughts, advice, or predictions about how to approach this, I’d greatly appreciate your insights.
Generally speaking they consider the application as a whole and put an emphasis on achievements already gained and not future plans.
Focus on your impact to your workplaces and the community
@hsafra thanks for the reply. Would it be helpful to include details about the product’s future plans, particularly its potential impact if we continue our careers in the UK? Or would it be better to avoid mentioning these aspects altogether? I’m eager to hear your thoughts.
If you have future plans that relate to an existing product that you want to build further I’d say it’s fine to dedicate a few sentences for that. But the majority of the submission should be about things you’ve done.
Hi @sersur
My personal interpretation of this is not to be concerned about the depth of technical info you provide, it should be about how you meet their requirement and demonstrate your are recognised in the digital sector.
Focus on their requirements. Read the Guide. and your evidences must demonstrate a recognition, and 2 optional criteria. which might be , academic contribution, impact, innovation or outside your career.
hope this helps
