Hi, I’m applying under the business route and have a quick question about who would make the strongest letter of reference under the Mandatory Criteria.
For my MC supporting evidence, I’m sharing growth numbers in tables, with my explanations about what I did. But I need to includi one letter of reference that focuses on my leadership in launching and scaling new digital products to prove that I was recognised by the wider sector. (the criteria I need to provide evidence is: You led the growth of a product-led digital technology company, product or team inside a digital technology company, as evidenced by reference letter(s) from leading industry expert(s) describing your work, or as evidenced by news clippings, lines of code from public repos or similar evidence.) I don’t have any news clippings for my product launches with my name. I only have excel tables with revenues that I produced, and I need a letter from one of these two below.
I’m trying to decide between:
- A UK-based fintech founder/operator from my country, who is also a previous GTV recipient and has a startup in the UK now. He has closely followed the products I launched in my country and can speak to my ability to execute and scale with discipline.
- A well-known VC and ecosystem leader in my country who can attest to my strategic clarity, market instinct, and impact on product–market fit.
Both are credible, I think, no? From Tech Nation’s point of view, which of these would be a stronger choice for the letter of reference under MC?
Would appreciate any guidance. Thank you!
