Who originates the signing

Hi all,

I have a question that bothers on who must originate the signing of the letters of recommendation in Docusign. The only way both of our IP addresses would show is If i originate the document to my recommender. So my question is;

  1. Am i the one to originate the document to my recommender?

  2. Is there a way to originate the signing process from my recommender and still have both my IP address and that of the recommender?

Yes, you can have ur recommender originate the DocuSign Doc by upload it and signing it, at the end of the process he’ll be able to send it to you when he chooses the option as only signatory during the document signing process.

It’s easy, or u upload it and ask him to sign it.

If the recommender originates the Docusign signing, I don’t receive the Certificate showing mine and his IP address. That is my main concern.

U would receive it, it always comes with the trail, as u would the beneficiary

I learnt that the best way is to have the referee email you the recommendation letter with the scanned copy of their signature or e-sign it using Adobe Acrobat Reader
