Hello, what is meant by ‘expert field’ when applying for ILR on global talent visa uk…
I got endorsed for digital technology by tech nation… so does it mean i can work on any job in my field of digital technology
OR does it refer to further specialized field that we selected when making our endorsement application such as data science, ux ui design etc…
I am worried because i selected hardware engineer but I now work as a digital product designer ux ui… both come under digital technology… will that be okay or I need to start getting a hardware engineer job just for this … ? I am not interested in hardware anymore…
He mentions that we need to work in the specialized field we selected such as data science… if he is wrong then i m so frustrated at him for guiding me wrong as me and my husband spent the last 6 months in worrying about this.
So you are damn sure about this right? can you share me some reference or i was also thinking about consulting some immigration lawyer… i dont know any lawyer though as i m new here.
I am 100% sure. It is very hard for anyone to stick to what they have written in the application for years to come. People change careers and roles and grow. Your role doesn’t matter as long as you are in digital technology field.
I have my own reference when I applied I was building a startup in the UK as an entrepreneur, then switched to working for a tech company. Many such examples.
Don’t worry! When applying for ILR you can always mention you found other opportunities in tech to grow into for your own career progress.
