Time spent in UK

Hi,

I am planning to apply for a UK global talent visa. I have previously spent close to 4 years on a UK Tier 2 ICT Visa in UK. Will that count towards 3 or 5 year residency period requirement AFTER I get the GTV? I am asking this because the guideline states that:

If you have a Global Talent visa, you can include any time you’ve spent on the following visas to meet the requirements for time spent in the UK:
any Tier 1 visa - except Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur)
Tier 2 (General) or Skilled Worker
Tier 2 (Minister of Religion) or T2 Minister of Religion
Tier 2 (Sportsperson) or T2 Sportsperson
Innovator
Representative of an Overseas Business

Just making sure I interpret it correctly. Thank you

correct. You can carry over the years spent on the listed visa

If the ICT visa you are referring to is Intra-Company Transfer visa then it seems like it doesn’t count towards ILR:

You cannot:

  • apply to settle permanently in the UK (also known as ‘indefinite leave to remain’)

from here Senior or Specialist Worker visa (Global Business Mobility): Overview - GOV.UK
But it is better check with HO.

Would you know the correct email ID to reach out to them on?

Tbh, I am not sure it is possible to contact HO directly but you can make an inquiry to the UKVI: https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk

I just did. they did not know the answer
