Hi, I wanted to know if a Tech Nation, or a Global Talent visa in general, permits holders to study in the UK as well, in addition to working. I currently work in the UK as a researcher but intend to pursue a Ph.D. for an interim period before I start working again. I wanted to know if a Tech Nation visa is right for me.

Thanks for your response @Francisca_Chiedu . I’d also like to know if mentioning my plans on pursuing a PhD in my application would be detrimental, in any way? I ask since the focus in the visa guide seems to be towards work in the digital technology sector. Maybe I should then focus on my plans for working in research (as opposed to studying)?
Would you have any comments on that, wrt how much studying on a Tech Nation visa is actually encouraged?
I don’t know but I don’t think it is necessary saying you want to pursue a PhD as there is a tier 4 visa for students.
