Does anybody know if the Global Talent Visa may get cancelled if someone stays outside of UK for > 180 days in consecutive 12 months (say, for a family emergency or something like that)?
I know that the time accumulated for ILR application would reset back to zero in that case, but I am specifically asking if the visa also gets cancelled.
NO. It stays valid and perfectly available for extension. Only thing which you can’t do is to apply for settlement as you won’t meet continuous residence requirement. Please note that your 5 year continuous residence period will restart from the day you break the 180 days barrier.
